About Dr. Hanevold
Wendy Haus Hanevold, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Georgia State University.
Dr. Hanevold specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with attachment injuries and complex
developmental trauma. Complex developmental trauma is caused by challenges that occur early in our lives that impact our ability to reach
our optimal potential. Traumas can result from abandonment, separations, losses, abuse, neglect and medical crises.
Dr. Hanevold's Silver Winged BridgeSM Program is designed to meet the needs of adults (50 Plus) who are reworking the next stage
of their lives. The program is designed to create healing space when ghosts, shadows and pain from their early years reawaken as
our lives are transformed by the trials and tests of time, loss, and change.
Dr. Hanevold’s work focuses on building positive and healthy attachments, accepting grief and losses, and helping adults,
couples, and families discover their healing powers to move forward in their lives.
Dr. Hanevold is also a popular lecturer and trainer. Her workshops are custom designed to meet the goals and needs of adults
and families as they face the challenge of writing the next chapter of their life story.
Wendy and her husband of 40 plus years are parents of two adults and the grandparent of two perfectly wonderful grandchildren.
Their two adult children were adopted from El Salvador and India as infants.
